St Patrick’s Day Parade 2017:
All roads lead to Mullagh this St Patrick’s Day for the annual Parade. The parade will start at 5pm. It’s hoped that there will be a good selection of floats from local businesses and clubs. All floats are asked to assemble in the Community Park on the Moynalty Rd and all vintage vehicles are asked to form a line from Mullagh Hall back towards the Community Park on the Moynalty Rd. Floats are reminded not to throw sweets into the crowd, as this is a very dangerous practice.Stewards are asked to report to the viewing stand at 4:00pm for their instructions and hi-vis jackets. More stewards are required, so if you are available, please come along and help out.
If you would like any further information regarding the parade, you may contact a member of the Mullagh Development Committee on 087-7466606. So we hope to see you all in Mullagh on the 17th at 5pm.
Mullagh Tourism & Community Development
The AGM of Mullagh Tourism & Community Development is on Tuesday 14 March at 9 pm in St Kilian’s Heritage Centre. For over twenty years this committee has made a very positive impact on our community. In the last two years alone, the committee have been involved in such projects as the walk to the lake and upgrading the facilities at St Kilian’s well. Maintenance and upkeep of the Lake Front, Mullagh Hill Walk, the People’s Park and other common areas are financed by the committee as is the work carried out by our sub-committees, such as Mullagh Tidy Towns. In order to continue, we urgently need new members with fresh ideas and enthusiasm. So, why not play your part in the continued development of our community and get involved.
